Combining the cool groove of bossa nova music with the explosive improvisation of jazz, the driving heartbeat of rock & roll and raw emotion of the blues, Hudson Valley based BOSSA BLUE seamlessly melds diverse musical styles into one rowdy yet soulful sound.
With searing three part harmonies, BOSSA BLUE brings together the award winning songwriting of front man Brad Cole with some of New York’s most talented musicians/producers at the top their game, Mark Dann (bass, harmonies), Jerry Plotkin (keyboards, harmonies), and Bobby Sabella (drums, percussion).
“When things get jammy on stage, the energy tends to flood the room and that's a big payoff for us.” says Cole about the BOSSA BLUE live experience. “We are in the process of recording our first album, and while we love being in the studio, playing out live simply brings people together when so much has had us divided.” Cole continues, ”I find these shows to be seriously groovy.”

Cole says, “I grew up on jazz and over the years, I became a total bossa-phile”.
“The idea re-arranging and playing some of my favorite rock/soundtrack-of-my-life tunes into a jazz/bossa construct feels like a natural progression for me as an artist, and its really fun.
”The blues elements in the set are just where I come from as a person, so again, going through my jazz collection with the idea of delivering basic and raw interpretation of these tunes is like hitting the jackpot for me”.
